CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES TO DESIGN STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ) Per our communication with DERM, they recommend to research available files and obtain a permitting review from the Coastal Resources Section of the Miami Dade County Permitting, Environment and Regulatory Affairs (PERA) for this project. RJ Behar has extensive experience in completing and obtaining permits with SFWMD, DERM and FDEP. We recently completed the Seaboard Marine Redevelopment for the Miami-Dade Port Authority which included more than 10 injection wells permitted with DERM and FDEP. 6. BID ASSISTANCE RJ Behar will assist the City in obtaining bids and in the award of the Contract for the Work that was bid pursuant to the Contract Documents, The assistance to the City could include furnishing the Contract Documents for distribution to prospective bidders, schedule and conduct a Pre-Bid Conference, receive and address inquiries from bidders, prepare and issue addenda as required. RJ Behar shall prepare a tabulation of the bids received, analyze the bids and make a recommendation for responsive Low Bidder. 7. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT/CONTRACT ADMINISTRA TION Tasks that may be required during the Contract Administration are as follows: a. RJ Behar will schedule and conduct a Pre-Construction conference with the City and the selected contractor. RJ Behar shall provide the agenda and keep minutes. ) b. For the duration of construction, RJ Behar can provide a full time engineer or inspector to monitor construction, In addition, the Project Manager will be available to visit to the site to inspect progress. Daily construction progress reports and weekly summaries would be provided to the City, and monthly meetings will be conducted with the contractor, City and Engineer, c. RJ Behar shall review Contractor's shop drawings and verify accuracy prior to approving and submitting to the City. d. RJ Behar shall review Contractor's pay requests and verify accuracy prior to approving and submitting to the City. e. Testing of all storm sewer lines will be conducted in the presence of the Engineer. Embankment and pavement compactions and densities will be conducted in the presence of the Engineer. All required materials testing shall be witnessed by the Engineer, and all records relative to testing shall be maintained by the Engineer. f, The surveying and geotechnical consultants will be available on an as-needed basis to assist in the certification of grades and testing of materials. 8. PROJECT FINALIZA TION AND CERTIFICA TION RJ Behar shall review record "as-builts" to be provided by the contractor and prepare necessary documentation for certification of the project to the agencies having jurisdiction over the different elements. qi R.J.Behar R.
