MATERIAL TfST1NG : lNSPE010N SERVICES

Tierra South Florida, Inc. (TSF) has the qualified, available and proven individuals to ensure projects are
completed to the highest standards. Our professional staff has been providing Geotechnical Engineering and
Laboratory Testing Services for over 20 years. Our professional staffs collective project experience includes
over 100 roadway and drainage projects within south Florida. Along with our expertise, our team brings
extensive local knowledge and experience. Withill Miami-Dade COUllty, our professiollal staff has successfully
completed over 400 projects ill the last five years. Weare therefore extremely familiar with local conditions as
well as the quick mobilization of resources within Miami-Dade County. Below are some project examples for
reference.

Project Name: MDX Widening ofSR 874 from SW 881/1 Street to SR 826, Miami-Dade County, Florida
Project Description: This project involves about 3 miles of roadway improvements. The geotechnical study
includes roadway soil survey, widening of the bridge over Snapper Creek Canal, and MSE wall along the
roadway.

Project Name: Krome Avenue from SR 94 (Kendall Drive) to SR 90 (Tamiami Trail), Miami, Florida
Project Description: Performed a preliminary roadway soil survey for Krome Avenue from SR 94 (Kendall
Drive) to SR 90 (Tamiami Trail) in Miami, Florida (approximately 5 miles). The purpose of this study was to
provide geotechnical (i.e. soils and groundwater) input to the design team to assist in evaluation of the merits of
the potential roadway improvements, including realignment of existing roadway. Field work included 256 auger
borings. Utilities (30 inch force main, water main, electrics, etc.) were to remain in place were factored into
geotechnical recommendations and proposed options. Geotechnical recommendations included the discussion of
various options such as surcharge, reinforced soil platform, geosynthetic, demucking and soil mixing. Also
provided geotechnical recommendations involving pennanent cut/fill slopes, excavations, groundwater control,
pavement design, and on site soil suitability.

Project Name: New Bridge on NW 87th Avenue over Miami Canal, Miami-Dade County, Florida
Project Description: Performed geotechnical study and provided shallow and deep foundation
recommendations for a new bridge over Miami Canal.

Project Name: North Bay Road Pedestrian Bridge and Observation Deck, City of Sunny Isles, Florida
Project Description: Project consisted of the construction of a bridge over a canal connected to intra-coastal
waterway and located in- between NE 172 and NE 174 streets in the City of Sunny Isles, Florida. The study
was perfonned to explore the subsurface conditions within the general vicinity of the bridge locations in order to
identify the general subsurface stratigraphy and provide geotechnical recommendations to guide the design and
construction. Field work included a total of six (6) Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings for the bridge and
associated walls. Visually classified and stratified the samples in the laboratory using the Unified Soil
Classification System (USCS). Limited laboratOlY testing was conducted.

Project Name: Force Main Route 11, City of North Bay Village, Florida
Project Description: Performed a geotechnical study for the proposed Force Main Route in City of North Bay
Village, Florida (traversing for a length of 13,000 linear feet, along NE 80th street, NE 79th Street, Adventure
A venue, North Treasure Drive to the pump station on Galleon Street). The purpose of this study was to explore
the subsurface conditions at the site to enable an evaluation of acceptable construction and site development
considerations. Field work included 13 Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings to depth ranging from 20 to 100
feet below grade. Provided geotechnical report summarizing subsurface conditions and groundwater
information. TSF also provided geotechnical recommendations regarding excavations, lateral earth pressures,
and other construction considerations.

2130
