"'i, or SUN ENV
City Commission January 27, 2004
Norman S. Edelcup
Mayor To Whom it May Concern
Gerry Goodman
Vice Mayor Re: Golden Shores Drainage and Street Improvements
Roslyn Brezin
Commissioner
Dear Sir /Madam:
Danny Iglesias
Commissioner I would like to take this opportunity and a moment of your time to express our
Lewis Thaler appreciation to Beiswenger, Hoch and Associates, Inc. and more specifically, their
Commissioner project manager, Victor H. Guevara, for their work at our Golden Shores residential
area, during the year 2002, which was the City's most ambitious project to date.
Christopher J. Russo
City Manager Throughout the planning, design, bidding and construction supervision stages, which
Lynn M. Dannheisser uncovered many unknowns over a several month period, Mr. Guevara always came
City Attorney through. This project was significant in that we used state -of -the -art technology to line
Cane C Clerk Hines over 8,960 L.F. of storm drain pipes with the least amount of disruption to our
ry residents. Mr. Guevara constantly kept the City's best interest in mind by scrutinizing
actual work, change orders and scheduling. It is almost unheard of that a project of this
magnitude ($3,450,000) was completed at '/2 of one percent over budget.
The staff of Beiswenger, Hoch and Associates, Inc. was most diligent and worthy of our
praise. Should the circumstances arise, the City would not hesitate to use them again.
Sincerely,
6 J mes Watts, Director
ub orks Department
JEW /jw
