The marina will have a new configuration <br />to maximize space and revenue. The new public promenade will provide the general <br />public as well as those renting boat slips access the water's edge which is currently <br />not available and will provide a connection from the marina to the new dockmaster <br />building and open air pavilion. Mr. Schultz is the project manager responsible for the <br />design of the site layout, public promenade and associated landscape enhancements. <br /> <br />Downtown Fort Lauderdale Prototype Streetscapes, Fort Lauderdale, Florida - The <br />Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority envisioned a demonstration <br />project that would establish a design vocabulary for the redevelopment of <br />streetscapes for downtown Fort Lauderdale. These design criteria were applied to <br />the heavily traveled Second Street Corridor which straddles the downtown's existing <br />activity centers. The resulting restoration project spans 4000 feet and 8 city blocks, <br />addressing walking surfaces, interfaces with operating buildings, limited Right of Way <br />space, future utilities, street tree planting, street lighting and furnishings. <br /> <br />Miami Beachwalk, Miami Beach, Florida - The beachwalk provides a social gathering <br />experience offering amazing views along the Atlantic Ocean and of the numerous <br />new and historical hotels that line the walk. Mr. Schultz's involvement as project <br />manager has included the redesign of the existing raised beachwalk behind the W <br />Hotel and the Eden Roc Hotel to produce an at grade pathway experience that <br />meanders along the dune and local hotels. Mr. Schultz also oversaw the installation <br />and construction of the new beachwalk at the W Hotel and Collins Park. <br /> <br />W Hotel South Beach, Miami Beach - The W Hotel South Beach is located on approx. <br />7 acres on Collins Ave. and has 400 feet of ocean frontage along the Boardwalk and <br />includes a 19-story hotel tower, retail, spa, ballrooms, and beachfront pool amenity <br />area. The pool area and amenity zone consists of a 4,000 square foot irregular <br />shaped knife edge infinity pool done in black granite. The main pool area has an <br />amphitheater feel with its raised decks and sun lawns that surround the pool. The <br />pool bar is raised to capture views of the ocean as well as serving as a focal point for <br />the amenity area. Mr. Schultz was the project manager and designer for this project. <br /> <br />Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Tampa, Florida - The Tampa Hard Rock expanded their <br />casino in 2007 and Mr. Schultz provided the design for the grounds surrounding the <br />new building and learned extensive knowledge into how casinos function and how <br />spaces/circulation relate with those functions. Mr. Schultz also conducted the <br />construction observation and administration for the project. <br /> <br />Naples Grande Resort, Naples, Florida - Mr. Schultz collaborated on the design and <br />, construction of the new Golden Door Spa on the property which was built over an <br />existing parking garage. He was also charged with the redesign of the villa courtyards <br />providing a clean and contemporary layout with centrally located linear water <br />features.
