Mr. Houghtaling has extensive <br />.brticultural knowledge and experience with <br />plant materials, including planting plans, <br />specifications, and details, and <br />comprehensive plant schedules. In addition <br />, <br />Jeff has successfully made presentations to <br />HOA's, town councils, and architectural review <br />boards. Jeff recently worked on a parks and <br />recreation master plan for the City of Oakland <br />Park and provided landscape plans for a <br />portion of the Miami Greenway project. <br /> <br />Project Experience <br /> <br />Fort Lauderdale Dixie Highway <br />Improvements. Chen Moore and Associates <br />is developing a streetscape master plan for <br />Dixie Highway in the Middle River Terrace <br />Neighborhood of Fort lauderdale. CMA was <br />contracted by the City to work with the local <br />homeowners association who received a grant <br />to fund the development of a complete <br />streets master plan. The neighborhood was <br />developed prior to many current planning and <br />zoning standards being implemented in the <br /> <br />City. As a result, the community has concerns <br />about unsafe conditions for pedestrians and <br />bicyclists due to unregulated land <br />development patterns. CMA is developing the <br />master plan to include pedestrian and bike <br />trails to narrow the width of the travel ways <br />and to add hardscape and landscape <br />beautification, including the development of <br />gateway features into the neighborhood. In <br />order to facilitate the master plan, CMA is <br />analyzing the area for current zoning and <br />right of way conditions, and conducting field <br />studies at different times of the day to <br />understand on-the-ground conditions that are <br />affecting resident safety. <br /> <br />Florida Atlantic University GOO-Bed <br />Freshman Housing. Chen Moore and <br />Associates is providing landscape architecture <br />services for FAU's new 600-bed residence hall <br />to be located in the southeast region of the <br />Boca Raton Campus. The building is pursuing <br />lEED silver certification through the USGBC. <br />The program budget is $41 million and <br />includes the design of a 7-story residence <br />facility, a dining facility, and the creation of a <br />360 space parking lot. CMA is developing the <br />site plan which includes volleyball and <br />basketball courts, seating areas, open play <br />areas for impromptu activities, bicycle parking <br />and storage for 225 bicycles, signage, <br />pedestrian circulation, seating walls, <br />decorative paving, pedestrian lighting, <br />landscape, and irrigation design. The project <br />is fast tracked andscheduled for occupancy in <br />August of 2013. <br /> <br />Cooper City Del Prado at Monterra. Chen <br />Moore and Associates is providing full <br />planning, engineering, and landscape <br />architecture services for a 31 lot single family <br />home community within Monterra in Cooper <br />City.
