CMA is working with the following <br />agencies for the successful completion of the <br />project: Cooper City, Broward County, Central <br />Broward Drainage District, and South Florida <br />Water Management District. The design work <br />includes, master planning of the site, grading, <br />paving, drainage, utility, landscape, lighting, <br />and signage. <br /> <br />Oakland Park - Parks & Recreation <br />Master Plan. Serving as one of the City of <br />Oakland Park's Planning and Design <br />consultants, Mr. houghtaling was part of a <br />team responsible for preparing a 20-year <br />Master Plan for its citywide Recreation <br />Programs and Parks. This city of 44,000 <br />residents has a system of 24 parks and <br />recreation facilities with a staff of 45 <br />responsible for maintenance and <br />management. This project approach included <br />'evelopment of an inventory of existing <br />Jcilities and resources, creation of a <br />customized web site for communication with <br />the public, inventorying existing residents and <br />community stakeholders, development of <br />physical plans, and establishment of budgets <br />and schedules for implementation over a 5- <br />10-20-year time frame. The entire project <br />required six workshops, interviews with all <br />public officials and current City <br />Commissioners in order to establish support <br />for adoption of the plan within a 12-month <br />time frame. <br />Cooper City High School Landscape <br />Master Plan. Developed a landscape master <br />plan for the Cooper City High School Campus <br />for the Broward County School Board. The <br />master plan evolved as part of the School <br />Board's desire to introduce native plants and <br />low-maintenance landscapes onto their <br />campuses. The plan identified underutilized <br /> <br />areas suitable for planting and the creation of <br />outdoor gathering spaces to enhance the <br />learning experience at the high school. <br /> <br />Broward County School Board - Deerfield <br />Beach Innovation Zone. This project <br />required analysis, landscape and irrigation <br />concept design and construction documents <br />to update the landscape and irrigation <br />systems to accommodate new construction <br />and update and rehabilitate the campus-wide <br />landscapes for the existing Deerfield Beach <br />Middle School and each of its feeder schools. <br />These feeder schools included Norcrest <br />Elementary, Deerfield Beach Elementary, <br />Deerfield Park Elementary, Park Ridge <br />Elementary, and Tedder Elementary. The goal <br />of this project was to prepare environmentally <br />conscious landscape designs for schools <br />according to Innovation Zones that were <br />previously established by the School Board. <br />Key components of these updates included <br />the use of native vegetation, efficient <br />irrigation systems, and the restoration of <br />natural habitats for use in the learning <br />environments. The Client required the <br />consultant to follow LEED standards. <br /> <br />The Waterfront - G9. Provided landscape <br />architecture for a 725-acre urban mixed-use <br />development in the Waterfront District of <br />Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project area <br />includes six miles of urban streetscape, four <br />miles of commercial and residential <br />waterfront, and three major urban parks. <br />Services include conceptual through final <br />design plans for the project's landscape, <br />hardscape, irrigation, site furnishings, water <br />features, architectural amenities, signage and <br />lighting.
