<br />Jose Acosta, P.E. is a project manager and
<br />leads Chen Moore and Associates' Miami
<br />office. Mr. Acosta has over 12 years of
<br />experience directing and performing the
<br />design of site civil engineering plans/tasks,
<br />including paving, drainage, water,
<br />wastewater, roadway, and signing and
<br />marking for several municipalities throughout
<br />Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach
<br />Counties.

<br />Project Experience
<br />Sunny Isles Beach Active Park (Pelican
<br />Community Park). The 2.5-acre active park
<br />
<br />site design was designed to become the
<br />premier recreational park for the City of
<br />Sunny Isles Beach. The site is located at
<br />18115 North Bay Road. The project included
<br />full design services for the city orchestrating
<br />park planning, paving, grading, drainage,
<br />water, sewer, irrigation, landscape
<br />architecture, architectural design,
<br />government permitting and construction
<br />administration services on a limited site. The
<br />project included off-site drainage
<br />improvements and coordination with adjacent
<br />projects in construction. Amenities of the
<br />park include the following: baseball field;
<br />recreation building and gym with a
<br />multipurpose court; playground area and
<br />structure. This project represents Mr. Acosta's
<br />experience while employed with another firm.
<br />
<br />Miami Beach City Center Right-of-Way
<br />Improvement Project. Chen Moore and
<br />Associates is the prime consultant and was
<br />responsible for providing surveying, planning,
<br />geotechnical investigation, design, permitting,
<br />preparation of construction documents, bid
<br />and award and construction engineering and
<br />inspection services for infrastructure
<br />improvements within the public right of way
<br />areas of the City Center neighborhood of
<br />Miami Beach. The project encompasses
<br />approximately 24,000 LF of ROW
<br />infrastructure improvements including water
<br />main replacements, sanitary sewer upgrades,
<br />stormwater drainage improvements, paving &
<br />grading, streetscaping enhancements,
<br />landscaping improvements, lighting
<br />improvements, and roadway reconstruction.
<br />This project also required extensive
<br />coordination with the Public, adjacent CRAs,
<br />historic districts and various regulatory
<br />agencies.
