Killian Hill Multi-Use Path | 2-4 Planning and Urban Design | 2-4
Atkins | City of Sunny Isles Beach, RFQ No. 12-04-020006.027944.0512
College Park Transit
Oriented Development
College Park, Georgia
Atkins is performing a transit-oriented devel-
opment (TOD) plan and a market feasibil-
ity study for the downtown area of College
Park within a half mile radius of the city’s
MARTA station. The preparation of the plan
incorporated significant public and stake-
holder involvement, and was developed
with sufficient specificity and strategies for
further implementation of the original LCI
plan created in 2007. The TOD site plan
will address both land use and transporta-
tion issues to support development that will
support a multi-modal environment and
optimize utilization at the existing MARTA
station. The ultimate goal is an economically
successful, exceptionally designed TOD,
and full integration of the downtown with the
station area. Constraints include groundwa-
ter, high-pressure utility conflicts, and heavy
traffic control.
Client
City of College Park
Services provided
• Site planning
• Market feasibility studies
• Public involvement

Urban Design
100024321:DB:0212
