City of Sunny Isles Beach ∙ RFQ No. 12-04-02 – Planning & Urban Design
2-17
Corradino team is able to make urban areas exciting and beautiful. The team’s
planning and design staff has helped communities give shape to their vision for
urban areas through site visits, meetings with key stakeholder groups, and
brainstorming and design sessions. The team can also provide grants funding
services, since even the most thoughtful plan can sit on a shelf if project funding
is not available. The team has a strong track record of helping its clients’ goals
come true by obtaining project funding for them.

The planning and design staff is often tasked with helping a community give
shape to its vision for large areas. This involves countless hours of site visits, one-
on-one meetings with representatives of all key stakeholder groups, and intense
brainstorming and design sessions. For example, following an extensive public
involvement process, both the City and the Community Redevelopment
Agency of Riviera Beach, have adopted C3TS’s detailed Master Plan to
redevelop and revitalize the 28-acre Marina South District site that includes the
City’s marina, a community center, Bicentennial Park, a gateway along US-1,
and the adjacent parcels, into an exciting mix of public and private uses that
makes it a one-of-a-kind regional destination. The team shaped the collective
vision known as Marina Place at Riviera Beach. Honoring the legacies and
hopes of Riviera Beach pioneers Judge Allen Heyser and Charles Newcomb
over one hundred years ago, this ambitious proposal aims to bring back the
pioneering spirit of this “conch town,” just as Key West has achieved such
prominence at Florida’s southern tip. Riviera Beach can now continue its next
chapter of growth, achieving its destiny of becoming “the Best Waterfront City in
Florida.”

TRANSPORTATION PLANNING
Transportation Planning is a very broad term, and includes transportation
modeling, long range planning, traffic, bicycle and pedestrian planning, transit,
level-of-service analysis, and PD&E analyses. Corradino has a wealth of
transportation planning experience at every phase of the process. They provide
everything from concept development to project development through the
federal processes. The firm’s planners are the developers of the South East
Regional Planning Model (SERPM), the model all South Florida MPO’s use to do
their long-range transportation planning. This model is used in the development
of Long Range Transportation Plans. It is critical in the evaluation and selection
of projects that receive federal funds or impact county or state facilities. The
firm has developed local municipal transportation master plans, by which
