City of Sunny Isles Beach ∙ RFQ No. 12-04-02 – Planning & Urban Design 2-18 capital improvement programs have been created. Corradino focuses on multimodal planning, having evaluated transit systems across the nation including Miami-Dade Transit, Broward County Transit, and many others. They have created transit systems and circulators in Hialeah, Doral, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay, and Miami Beach. They have created bicycle and pedestrian plans and Safe Routes to School Programs in Doral, Palmetto Bay and other cities. The firm is the reviewer of traffic impact analysis as part of the development review process for multiple cities, including Miami Beach, Doral, Miami Gardens, Homestead, Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay. Corradino performs individual traffic impact analyses, which study the level of service and operations of intersections and roadways. The firm has performed PD&E, Corridor Studies and Alternatives Analyses for many FDOT Districts. Many of the firms are first of their kind or groundbreaking efforts. Corradino was the planner on the Miami Metrorail System—the first heavy rail system in the State. They planned and designed the US-1 Busway, one of the first bus rapid transit systems in the nation. They performed the PD&E study for the I-95 Express project which is a national pilot project using the I-95 Corridor between Miami and Fort Lauderdale as a Managed Lane, incorporating a variable toll with bus rapid transit. PARKING STUDIES Corradino has worked with parking for many of its municipalities. Recently , the firm completed a parking generation forecast for the feasibility of a municipal parking garage and transit-transfer center in Palmetto Bay. For Miami Beach, the firm performed the Intermodal Feasibility Study, where they examined the location, cost and parking generation of a municipal intermodal center. Also for Miami Beach, the firm performed one of the largest parking studies in the region, inventorying and analyzing all public parking in the city. This was a monumental data collection and analysis effort. Corradino performed manual occupancy counts at least three times per day during the week and weekend for every public parking space, on street and off street, and then worked to develop parking policy for this critical infrastructure. Corradino has designed parking as well as estimated the cost to develop facilities.
