W&ASSOCLAM G. BATISTA
The process of the Electrical Engineering involves the following stages:
16@
1. Study the architectural plans in order to obtain the necessary data to provide the Total
Electrical Load Calculations. The engineer must have received feedback from the owner as to
his specific requirements for equipment, lighting, working areas, and any special emergency
power generation requirements among others.
2. Institute energy saving measures in the design.
3. Coordinate with other design professionals for conflicts.
4. Specify materials that are within the owner's budgetary constraints.
5. Detail, drawings and preparation of construction documents.
6. Provide Quality Control and corrections as may be needed.
OPTIMIZE
Any engineer can put a design on paper. It is an entirely different set of technical skills to make this
[ design one that is practical, useful for its intended purposes and cost - effective. During the design
l phase, we strive to optimize our designs. Typical engineering systems are described by very large
numbers of variables, and it is the designer's task to specify appropriate values for these variables.
Skilled designers utilize their knowledge, experience, and judgment to specify these variables and
design effective engineered systems. Because of the size and complexity of the typical design task,
however, even the most skilled designers are unable to take into account all of the variables
simultaneously. Design optimization is the application of techniques to engineering systems to assist
the designers in improving the system's performance, reliability, and /or cost.
Optimization methodologies can be applied during the design development stage to ensure that the
finished design will have the high performance, high
reliability, and /or low cost. Alternatively, optimization
methods can be applied to existing designs to identify
potential design improvements.
At G. Batista & Associates, we are dedicated to
providing our customers with the tools and knowledge
required to generate practical designs that are useful in
the real world. Greg Batista's personnel have extensive
experience in applying optimization methodologies to
j improve designs.
MIGRATE
"Migrate" represents the all- important task of successfully transferring the design from the
engineering office to the construction field and ultimately a finished product. "Migration" is the
-J CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH
RFQ No. 12 -04 -01
