<br />SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
<br />Ms. Cook‐Weedon leads the Landscape Architectural staff, founded on her over 24 years
<br />of Landscape Architectural experience with demonstrated strengths in creative design,
<br />graphic presentations, and planting design. She has successfully completed numerous
<br />large scale projects which encompassed design studies, planting designs, and the
<br />various intersecting professions and tasks necessary to manage the projects through to
<br />completion.
<br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE
<br />North Shore Neighborhood Improvements, Miami Beach, FL; Landscape Architect;
<br />Client: City of Miami Beach: Implemented the City’s BODR and designed the planned
<br />improvements, including character landscaping, streetscapes, parking, lighting, ADA
<br />access and waterline replacement for more than eight miles of urban, neighborhood
<br />corridors.
<br />Hickory Point Recreational Facilities, Tavares, FL; Landscape Architect; Client:
<br />Lake County Water Authority: The project consisted of the site design of a waterfront
<br />park that included marinas, boat ramps, wetland educational boardwalks,
<br />environmental signage, fishing stations and a communal pavilion.
<br />Kane Concourse Beautification, Bay Harbor Islands, FL; Landscape Architect;
<br />Client: Town of Bay Harbor Islands: Developed streetscape improvements for the
<br />town’s business district, including specialty paving, street furnishings, wayfinding,
<br />landscape planting and irrigation, with particular attention to maintaining the existing
<br />Miami Modern architectural quality as a branding element of the corridor.
<br />Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Visitor’s Clubhouse, Hollywood, FL; Landscape
<br />Architect/Project Manager; Client: Memorial Healthcare System: Prepared the site
<br />and landscape design for a restorative garden with a playground area specifically for the
<br />use by children users of the Joe DiMaggio facility.
<br />Gator Run Park, Weston, FL; Role; Client: City of Weston: Passive park design for a
<br />5‐acre community park including lighting improvements, continuous walking paths,
<br />children’s play equipment, planting and irrigation design. The design provided a
<br />butterfly garden and shade structures in proximity to and to build strong connections
<br />with the adjacent elementary school
<br />Deering Estate at Old Cutler, Palmetto Bay, FL; Role; Client: MiamiDade County
<br />Pak and Recreation Department: Historical restoration and landscape design to repair
<br />the damaged areas of the estate following Hurricane Andrews devastation of the
<br />property, including detailed archeological planting design, habitat restoration and
<br />planting design for a new visitors’ facility.
<br />Sombrero Beach Park, Marathon, FL; Role; Client: City of Marathon: Park master
<br />plan and design for the creation of a beachfront park with dune access, volleyball courts,
<br />playgrounds, beach amenities, dune and turtle nesting habitat restoration.
