daily log of all irrigation maintenance performed and submit it to the City Contract Administrator on a <br />monthly basis or sooner as needed. <br />Test Irrigation System. Testing shall be performed on a monthly basis at an agreed upon day between 7:30 <br />A.M. — 2:00 P.M. <br />CHEMICAL PEST CONTROL (in addition to specifications) <br />Pests are identified as harmful insects, disease pathogens, weeds or other organism which competes with or <br />harms any and all landscape elements. All pest control shall be by identification and diagnosis and corrective <br />program as needed. Should pest infestations be noted, Florida Turf and Landscape will contact the City <br />Contract Administrator for pesticide application notification immediately. <br />a. PLANT BEDS/ SHRUBS — Roundup Pro, Fusillade, Snail & Slug Bait Pellets, Surflan, Orthene, Award, Fire <br />Ant Amdro Bait; <br />b. ST. AUGUSTINE GRASS- Chipco 26019 Fungicide, Award, Fire Ant Amdro Bait, Manage, Orthene, Talstar, <br />Dylox, Revere, Heritage <br />c. BAHIA GRASS — Talstar, Dylox, 24D, MCPP, Revere, Heritage <br />d. PALM TREATMENTS — Merit, Cleary's 3336, Liquid fertilizer fortified with extra iron, liquid manganese and <br />liquid magnesium. Chemical formulations are not limited to the aforementioned listed, due to numerous <br />situations which may require a different formulation. <br />Please note, the use of chemical pest control shall be a result of "as needed" control application of an <br />approved pesticide for control and elimination of harmful insects and plant pathogens. There shall be no <br />blanket application of chemicals. <br />Florida Turf and Landscape will monitor the plant material (IPM "Integrated Pest Management" practices bi- <br />monthly) and report problems that require chemical or cultural practice adjustments or <br />biological controls. Treatment shall be by identification of the problem and method of control to be <br />administered. Treatment shall be directed to problem area and the surrounding area only. IPM <br />documentation shall be documented bi- monthly and submitted to City Contract Administrator each month. <br />Florida Turf and Landscape will provide a copy of the current state certified restricted use <br />pesticide applicators license. All applicators will carry M.S.D.S. in vehicles at all times. <br />Florida Turf and Landscape will follow manufacturer recommendations for repeat application and <br />track effectiveness of application and follow up with a different chemical family if product <br />is ineffective. Application of chemical spray only in conditions of low air movement to avoid <br />contamination by spray drift. There shall be no run off or any spillage of any chemical into adjacent areas. <br />Ant treatments shall be weekly to all areas where needed. In addition, spot treatments shall be made one <br />day prior to permitted special events. <br />FLORIDA TURF AND LANDSCAPE RFP 12 -05 -01 Page 16 of 26 <br />
