<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Proposal No. 17-03-01 15 <br /> <br />electrical appliances, cords and apparatus shall comply with all provisions of the Florida State Safety <br />Standards. <br /> <br />3.5 MACHINE DISCRIPTION <br /> <br />1. Vendors must thoroughly describe all machines covered in their proposal, including <br />the following data: <br />a. Physical size, make, model, year <br />b. Number of food products dispensed <br />c. Electrical requirements <br />d. Plumbing requirements <br />e. Ability to change item prices <br />f. Coin change capacity <br /> <br />2. All vending machines must be of current manufacture, no older than five (5) years, and in <br />excellent physical and mechanical condition. Machines that do not meet these requirements will <br />not be acceptable for placement. Machines should be clean. <br /> <br />3. All machines shall have the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) approval. <br /> <br />3.6 DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION <br /> <br />Equipment shall be delivered, installed and operational at all awarded locations within a period <br />of thirty (30) calendar days after notification of award. Equipment shall be installed so as to <br />present an attractive, flush-front, matched and uniform configuration. Equipment shall be <br />secured to provide for safe, secure operation and to prevent tipping or shifting. All delivery <br />and installation costs shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. <br /> <br />3.7 CURRENCY AND COIN USAGE <br />All vending equipment must have the ability to accept one-dollar bills and various coins and to <br />dispense change for any vended product in U.S. Currency only. Bidder shall specify details of <br />payment acceptance as part of the bid response. Debit and Credit card vending machines are <br />recommended. <br /> <br />3.8 FOODS <br /> <br />As part of the proposal the proposer shall include a listing of food and drinks that are healthy <br />organic foods that will be stocked within the vending machines, indicating the selling price to public. <br />Including healthy fresh fruit juices, all natural organic snacks, healthy fruit bars, healthy fruit <br />snacks, baked and naturally popped chips, water, and optional healthy smoothies. In addition to, <br />snacks such as chips, crackers, pastry, Chex mix, granola bars, mints, peanuts, pretzels. Designated <br />machines may include dispensed products such as, bottled and canned sodas, water, juices, teas <br />(diet and regular snapple), sports drinks such as Gatorade, energy drinks. Contractor shall not sell <br />or distribute any gum, glass bottles or containers. <br />
