7. Question: Section 5, Proposal Format, Labeled Part #8 – Please clarify this is the section where all other <br />bid forms are to be placed, specifically bid sum? <br /> <br />Answer: Section 5 details the information and forms that must be submitted for the proposal to be <br />considered responsive. <br /> <br />8. Question: Is the city providing a unit cost bid form? If not where does the bidder provide the lump sum <br />price? <br /> <br />Answer: The City is not providing additional forms for the submittal. Bidder shall include sufficient <br />information and detail, including cost, as required by Section 5 to be considered responsive. <br /> <br />9. Question: The specifications state in Section 3, the use of a “Pre‐manufactured shock pad”, however I <br />have not been able to locate a minimum thickness nor a type of pad? <br /> <br />Answer: The thickness of the pad must be sufficient to achieve the G‐max value stated in the RFP. <br /> <br />10. Question: The specifications states that the batter boxes and pitcher’s mound will remain clay. <br />Regarding the Batters boxes, are you referring to the entire home plate circle area to remain clay? <br /> <br />Answer: The entire home plate circle is to remain clay. <br /> <br />11. Question: The specification note that the turf length is 1 and ¾ inch but I have not been able to locate a <br />minimum specified turf weight. <br /> <br />Answer: The specifications do not include a minimum required turf weight. <br /> <br />12. Question: Section 3.10 Scope of Services calls for the field to have a The G max rating of less than 110 <br />after completion. Please not that this requirement is to “soft” for an open recreation field in a park and <br />will be field will be like a cushion. The best G max industry ratio for this type of field would be better <br />suited to be between 125 to 135. Please clarify. <br /> <br />Answer: Bidders need to be responsive to the specifications of the RFP. Refer to Sections 2.14 for <br />alternate materials. <br /> <br />13. Question: Section 3.2 Intent item # 3 Calls for the pile height to be 1‐3/4”. This pile height resembles <br />more a playground turf than a sport field turf. The best suite piles height for this project would be a 2” <br />mono filament for the soccer field and a 2” slit film for the baseball field. Please advise. <br /> <br />Answer: Bidders need to be responsive to the specifications of the RFP. Refer to Sections 2.14 for <br />alternate materials. <br /> <br />14. Question: Section 3.5 Post Project Submittals calls for the contractor to furnish a 10 year warranty for <br />products: Please note that the maximum years for the warranty of the Artificial Turf industry is 8 years <br />and that the requested 10 years will is not the standard. Please clarify. <br /> <br />Answer: An eight (8) year warranty is the minimum that will be considered responsive to the RFP. <br />Section 4 addresses the basis by which submittals will be evaluated.
