Sheet CC-01 shows the existing pedestrian gate being removed by the proposer but there was no line item provided for the removal. Response: Bidders shall refer to FDOT pay item notes/details for all bid items which for which an FDOT Pay Item # is provided. The removal of the existing pedestrian gate shall be considered a part of the clearing and grubbing activities – Bid item #1. 15. Sheet ST-02 Detail 3 – ST-02 calls for a calls for a 4”x4” concrete reinforced cupolas. Are these meant to be pre-casted or is it the City’s intention to have them formed on site with the oolite and grout? Response: Construction methodology is at the discretion of the contractor. The final deliverable should be in keeping with the Contract documents and all applicable local, state and federal agency requirements. 16. Has the City applied for an FDOT permit? Response: The City has obtained a Landscape Permit from the Florida Department of Transportation for the proposed work within the right-of-way, as depicted on the Contract Documents. A copy of the permit (permit # 2014-L-691-6) has been provided herein for reference. The successful proposer shall be responsible for obtaining all construction permits necessary for execution of the design intent. 17. Can existing East side drive way be closed during construction? Response: The existing driveway to Collins Ave serves as a vehicular egress/ingress for residents as well as garbage pick-up for the community. As such, access must be maintained at all times for the duration of the project. 18. Will City’s Landscape Architect provide acceptance letter of final approval for landscaping? Response: Final approval of the installed landscaping will be subject to inspections by the City’s Landscape Architect, FDOT, Miami-Dade County RER and the City of Sunny Isles Beach. 5
