2.04 EXPANSION JOINT MATERIAL <br /> <br />A. Expansion joint filler shall be of closed cell Neoprene type, conforming to ASTM <br />1056, Type 1040 as manufactured by Williams Products, Inc., Troy, Michigan, <br />or equal. <br /> <br />2.05 FORM COATING <br /> <br />A. Form coating shall be a coating that will effectively prevent absorption of <br />moisture and prevent bond with concrete and will not stain concrete surfaces <br />and shall be compatible with paint systems specified in Paint - Division 9. <br /> <br />2.06 WATERSTOPS <br /> <br />A. All joints subject to, or likely to be subject to internal or external liquid pressure <br />shall have waterstops installed. <br /> <br />1. Plastic waterstops shall be manufactured from virgin polyvinyl chloride and <br />shall not contain scrap or reclaimed material. <br /> <br />2. Properties of the PVC used shall conform to U.S. Army Corps of Engineer’s <br />Specification CRD C572. <br /> <br />3. Waterstops shall be serrated type with a center hollow bulb. <br /> <br /> <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 WORKMANSHIP <br /> <br />A. Forms shall be installed true to line and dimensions with snap ties and supports <br />to maintain them in position, without bows or bulging during pouring, vibrating, <br />and curing the concrete. <br /> <br />B. Dimensional tolerances of formwork shall be designed and installed assuring <br />that the finished concrete will comply with dimensional tolerances of ACI 301 <br />and the required tolerances to properly accommodate the equipment installation <br />as verified from the manufacturer's shop drawings. <br /> <br />1. Embedded or cast-in anchors or inserts required for the performance of the <br />work shall be furnished and the location carefully supervised. <br /> <br />2. No lumber shall be stored closer than four (4) inches to grade of floors. <br /> <br />a. Lumber stored outside shall be covered with Visqueen or other suitable <br />protection on top and sides. <br /> <br />b.
