1) Anchors shall be spaced not over sixteen (16) inch o.c. vertically and <br />forty eight (48) inch o.c. horizontally. <br /> <br />2) These dovetail anchors shall also be used wherever masonry passes <br />in front of concrete columns or beams (interior and exterior). <br /> <br />3) Nail-on anchors will not be accepted. <br /> <br />4) No anchors are required where concrete is poured after masonry. <br /> <br />10. Remove forms and shoring in a manner as to insure the safety of the <br />structure and personnel. <br /> <br />a. No forms or shoring shall be removed until members supported have <br />acquired sufficient strength to support their weights and loads to be <br />imposed thereon, and in no case earlier than seven (7) days <br /> <br />b. Removal of forms - Pinch bars, wrecking bars or other metal tools shall <br />not be placed against as cast concrete finish surfaces to wedge forms <br />loose, only wooden wedges shall be used. <br /> <br />1) Wedging shall be done carefully and gradually. <br /> <br />2) Driving accomplished only by light tapping. <br /> <br />3.02 WATERSTOPS <br /> <br />A. Waterstops shall be continuous PVC waterstops and shall be joined by heating <br />the ends with a thermostatically controlled electric splicing iron as <br />recommended by the manufacturer. <br /> <br />B. The position and shape of the waterstop shall be maintained unchanged before, <br />during, and after the concrete placing operation. <br /> <br />3.03 CONSTRUCTION JOINT <br /> <br />A. The placing of concrete shall be carried on continuous between construction <br />joints and the work shall be executed so that these joints will occur in the <br />locations designed in the Drawings. <br /> <br />1. If the CONTRACTOR proposes different locations, or additional intermediate <br />construction joints, he shall submit to the ENGINEER marked up prints of <br />the CONTRACTOR Drawings showing location, extent and type of joints <br />proposed. <br /> <br />2.
