1. Check and approve steel shop drawings prior to submittal to the <br />ENGINEER. <br /> <br />2. The CONTRACTOR's stamp and signature is required on shop drawings <br />prior to submittal. <br /> <br />1.05 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> <br />A. Measurement and payment will be included in the lump sum prices for the <br />appropriate work items, as shown in the Bid Schedule, as required for those <br />items which price and payment shall constitute full compensation for furnishing <br />materials and performing work in connection herewith and as specified in the <br />scope of work under this section. <br /> <br />1.06 TESTS AND CERTIFICATES <br /> <br />A. The cost of the initial steel testing and subsequent tests during the progress of <br />the work ordered by the ENGINEER shall be paid for by the CONTRACTOR, <br />including retesting of rejected material. <br /> <br /> <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> <br />A. Reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A-615 New Domestic Billet, Grade 60. <br /> <br />B. Steel shall have a 305 deformation. <br /> <br />C. Provide clean steel free from loose scale of flake rust or coating that destroys or <br />reduces the bond to the concrete. <br /> <br />1. Keep steel clean until used or wire brushed before placing. <br /> <br />D. Welded Wire Mesh Reinforcement shall be ASTM Specification A-185 and A-82 <br />hot dipped galvanized wire. <br /> <br />E. Metal Accessories - Spacers, ties, chairs, and devices necessary for proper <br />placing, spacing, supporting, and fastening or reinforcement shall be supplied <br />and placed as required by the Manual of Standard Practice for Detailing <br />Concrete Structures (ACI 315-80). <br /> <br />1.
