SECTION 03480 <br /> <br />PRECAST CONCRETE MANHOLES, VAULTS, AND CHAMBERS <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. Furnish materials and precast concrete manholes as shown in the Drawings <br />and as required for a complete installation. <br /> <br />B. Wet wells shall be precast concrete manholes with water-stops, sleeves and <br />openings as noted in the Drawings. <br /> <br />C. Box outs for wall pipes shall conform accurately to the sizes and elevations of <br />the adjoining pipes. <br /> <br />D. The structures shall be watertight. <br /> <br />1.02 RELATED SECTIONS <br /> <br />A. Paints and Coatings - Division 9. <br /> <br /> <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 Precast Wet Wells <br /> <br />A. Precast wet wells shall conform to the requirements of ASTM C 478 with <br />reinforcement of ASTM A 615, Grade 60 bars and the following modifications <br />thereto: <br /> <br />1. The minimum wall thickness shall be 8 inches. <br /> <br />2. Cement to be used in precast manholes and grout shall be ASTM C 150, <br />Type II. <br /> <br />3. The date and name of manufacturer shall be marked inside each precast <br />sections. <br /> <br />4.
