All sprinkler heads shall be connected to the supply line with Rainbird "Swing Pipe", Toro <br />"Poly Pipe" or equal; each with standard spiral barbed fittings, or with all PVC swing joint <br />assemblies. <br /> <br />2.04 SPRINKLER HEADS: <br /> <br />A. Actual equipment shall be as specified on plans. <br /> <br />2.05 SLEEVES AND ROAD CROSSINGS: <br /> <br />A. All pipe used for road crossing shall be schedule 40 PVC or better. Pipe shall be placed in a <br />PVC sleeve located a minimum of 24 inches below grade and backfilled with clean sand. No <br />rock in contact with PVC pipe sleeves. Base for asphalt shall be compacted to meet asphalt- <br />paving specifications, by others. (See detail.) <br /> <br />B. Sleeve supply, placement and backfill by installing sprinkler contractor who is responsible <br />for excavation, location and placement to proper depth. <br /> <br />C. See plan for sleeve sizing schedule and schematic locations. <br /> <br />2.06 IRRIGATION CONTROL WIRE: <br /> <br />A. See irrigation specifications on irrigation plans. <br /> <br />2.07 CONDUIT: <br /> <br />B. Conduit shall be PVC, U.L. approved. Size as required by code or as shown on the Plan, <br />which ever is larger in size. Conduit in this work by irrigation subcontractor is exclusively <br />for low voltage wiring between time clock controller and automatic valve locations. <br /> <br />2.08 AUTOMATIC CONTROL VALVES: <br /> <br />A. All valves are to be 24 volt automatic. See specifications on plans for Brand, Model#, and <br />Size of valve. <br /> <br />B. Valves shall be installed in an AMETEK heavy-duty valve box with locking covers so that <br />they may be easily located and serviced when necessary. Sizes per materials schedule are <br />shown on plan. <br /> <br />2.09 PAINT FOR RISERS: (when required) <br /> <br />A. Paint shall be Vista Green semi-gloss, No.55-306 as manufactured by Pittsburgh Paints, OR <br />approved equal. <br /> <br />2.10 CONTROL WIRE: <br /> <br />A.
