CONSTRUCTION POLLUTION PREVENTION <br /> <br /> A. Erosion and Sediment Controls: <br /> <br /> 1. Structural Practices <br /> <br /> A silt fence/windscreen shall be installed in areas as deemed <br />necessary during the construction process to reduce windblown <br />and stormwater driven erosion. <br /> <br /> 2. Stormwater Management <br /> <br /> Sodding or hay bales shall be placed around all catch basins <br />immediately after completion of the catch basin installation. Filter <br />fabric shall be placed over all catch basins until such time as paving <br />and landscaping in the area of the catch basin are complete. <br /> <br /> B. Waste Disposal <br /> <br />1. Waste Materials <br /> <br /> All waste materials will be collected in metal dumpsters rented from <br />a licensed solid waste management company. The dumpsters will <br />meet all local and state solid waste management regulations. <br />Dumpsters will not be allowed to overflow and will be emptied on a <br />regular basis, as required. All trash will be disposed of in <br />accordance with all federal, state and local criteria. No construction <br />waste materials will be buried on-site. All sub-contractors and <br />personnel working on the site will be instructed in the proper <br />disposal of waste materials. A notice outlining these procedures will <br />be posted in the construction trailer and the Project Manager for the <br />site will be responsible for ensuring that these procedures are <br />followed. <br /> <br /> 2. Hazardous Waste <br /> <br /> All hazardous waste will be disposed of in accordance with Federal, <br />State and local regulations. The CONTRACTOR’s Project Manager <br />will be the person responsible for seeing that these practices are <br />followed. <br /> <br />
