<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />NE 174th Street Roadway Improvements <br />00800-5 Special Conditions and <br />Supplementary Conditions <br />14-1758 / 09-19-2014 <br /> <br />3. Sanitary Waste <br /> <br /> Sanitary waste will be collected in portable units placed on the site <br />in accordance with Occupational, Safety and Health Administration <br />(OSHA) requirements. Sanitary waste from these units will be <br />collected on a regular basis as required based on usage. <br /> <br /> C. Timing of Controls/Measures <br /> <br /> 1. Turbidity screens and silt fences will be in place prior to beginning <br />construction on the site. Any area where construction activity <br />ceases for more than 21 days will receive temporary sedimentation <br />controls. All existing and constructed catch basins on the site will <br />contain sediment traps and filter fabric to prevent sedimentation <br />from entering the storm drainage system during construction. <br />Landscaping, including final sodding, will be installed within 14 days <br />of the completion of construction on any area of the site. <br /> <br /> D. Erosion and Sediment Control Inspection and Maintenance Practices: <br /> <br /> The following inspection and maintenance practices will be used to <br />maintain erosion and sediment controls. The Project Manager for this site <br />will be responsible for ensuring that all controls are in good working order: <br /> <br />1. All control measures will be inspected at least once weekly and <br />following any storm event greater than 1/2". <br /> <br />2. Repairs will be completed within 24 hours. <br /> <br />3. Temporary seed and mulch areas and permanent sod areas will be <br />inspected regularly for bare spots and to ensure adequate growth. <br /> <br />4. Filter fabric over all catch basins will be inspected regularly to ensure <br />that there are not tears or pullouts, allowing direct discharge into the <br />basin. <br /> <br />5. Buildup of sediment on filter fabric shall be removed on a regular basis <br /> <br />6. Turbidity screens and windscreens shall be inspected regularly, and <br />repaired as necessary <br /> <br />
