C. Questions regarding the interpretation of a Specification should be directed to the ENGINEER prior to the submittal of a proposal for, or execution of, the work under this Contract. 1.04 DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing materials, equipment, and labor for construction of roadway and drainage improvements indicated in the Drawings and described in the Specifications. B. The project shall consist of but is not limited to: 1. Proposed are the roadway improvements for NE 174th Street to include all labor and material to perform roadway reconstruction with geotechnical fabric, sidewalks, ADA ramps, detectable warning surfaces, f-curbs, valley gutters, curb inlets, storm pipes, control structure, water quality treatment structure, new asphalt, milling and resurfacing west of North Bay Road & North Bay Road south of NE 174th Street, and striping with all other associated work according to the attachments. Full landscape and irrigation improvements within the full right-of-way from Collins to the western terminus of 174th St are also included in this project. Construction duration is for 240 days from notice to proceed to substantial completion and 30 days thereafter to final completion. All other surveying services are to be provided by the proposer under his/her prices. If any portion of the contract documents or plans is not clear or contradictive, the proposer is to submit a question/clarification in writing prior to submitting a bid proposal. In any instance where the attached scope of work is in conflict with FDOT specifications the more stringent specification will prevail. Furthermore, Bid Items Descriptions preceded by “NBR” refer to items on North Bay Road south of NE 174th Street and may be removed from the bid at Owner’s direction should the Pedestrian Bridge Project be awarded around the same time. 2. Provide for the ENGINEER’s approval complete and accurate survey of as- built new structures, new piping, and existing underground utilities uncovered during the course of the project showing elevations and locations. C. Work under this Contract shall be constructed in accordance with the lines and grades shown on the Contract Drawings or as directed by the ENGINEER. D. Elevations of existing ground, structures, and appurtenances, size, and location of existing piping are believed to be reasonably correct but are not guaranteed to be absolute and therefore are presented only as an approximation.
