<br /> Minority Business Development Agency(MBDA)
<br /> Under this contract, IGS works collaboratively with many offices within the US Department
<br /> of Commerce to develop a detailed marketing strategy focusing on the MBDA Business
<br /> Center Program, the public-facing program of the agency. We conduct research with the
<br /> business centers to understand the needs of minority business owners (MBOs), who are the
<br /> primary audience for the national campaign. IGS also held focus groups with MBOs in the
<br /> Washington, DC, area to test different messages and learn what resonated with them as
<br /> minority entrepreneurs. We worked closely with the COR to design a new marketing
<br /> campaign, which debut in September 2016; it included a new look for all collateral material,
<br /> with the new tagline "Where Businesses Come to Grow” and strong words such as Connect,
<br /> Grow, Smart, Profitable, and Success. To support the campaign, our team facilitated a
<br /> three-stop satellite media tour in Texas, Michigan, and California. The tour was used to
<br /> promote the success stories within the national network of MBDA Business Centers. The
<br /> team was able to secure Google as an event sponsor.
