We receive complaints, from time to time, from disgruntled <br /> 4:0 customers who are upset that their vehicle was towed, but we respond to each complaint and forward <br /> our response to RER. Currently, Alpine Towing, Inc., has not received any suspension(s), cancellations, <br /> written reprimands, citations, or terminations issued by Miami-Dade County or any other Municipal <br /> entity. <br /> As discussed above, Alpine Towing has been providing towing services to property owners since <br /> February 10, 2006. All towing services are continually provided, from year to year, on an as-requested <br /> basis. Alpine Towing is required to follow all State, County, and Local City Ordinances when removing <br /> vehicles from private property at the request of the property owner. <br /> In addition to private property towing, Alpine Towing provides towing services to the Federal Bureau of <br /> Investigation for field agent vehicles and vehicles used in the commission of crimes, arrests, etc. The <br /> dispatcher for the F.B.I. requests our towing service through the on-scene Agent or the central office <br /> dispatcher in Miramar, Florida. This is an on-going contract and is expected to continue for an <br /> extended period of time. <br /> There are several parts to this contract. First, vehicles which have been used in the commission of a <br /> crime, bank robbery, etc. are towed as evidence and must be secured in the storage area designated <br /> by the Agent in charge, at the Headquarters building. Invoices for towing services must be prepared, <br /> including_complete vehicle information, location of pickup and location of storage facility. The towing <br /> 0 charges and mileage must be itemized on the invoice to facilitate receipt of payment. Second, all agent <br /> vehicles requiring repair service, due to break-down or any other related issues, are towed into the <br /> repair facility. All invoices must be completed in full, including all vehicle information, agent <br /> information and a complete break-down of all towing charges, itemized on the invoice. There is no set <br /> dollar amount for this contract as all towing services are requested on an as-needed basis. Towing <br /> services have been provided since June 2014. Alpine Towing, Inc., is the prime <br /> towing agency utilized for this contract for Dade and Broward Counties. <br /> Alpine Towing is on rotation for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, since June <br /> 2014. We perform towing services at the request of the FFWCC Officer on scene. If the towing service <br /> is for arrest, stolen vehicle, etc. the vehicle will be stored at Alpine Towing until the vehicle owner can <br /> produce identification and ownership documents for the vehicle. The vehicle owner must sign the <br /> invoice showing the charges and the Storage Receipt for the vehicle. The rates for towing are done at <br /> the current Florida Highway Patrol Rates. This is an on-going contract. Towing services <br /> under this contract is don on as needed basis for unauthorized vehicles which have parked or <br /> abandoned on County property.
