(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Project Manager for a municipal sewer pump station replacement project. Improvements were needed due to theexpiring service life of the pumps and their insufficient operating capacity during peak flows. Tasks included design, permitting, interpreting pressure data logger readings, hydraulic calculations, contacting pump manufacturers, existing sewer flow analysis, monitoring geotechnical work, and coordinating with other professional disciplines.
e.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)
Bid Pack 9 Infrastructure Improvements
Oakland Park, FL
(5) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2014 - 2015 CONSTRUCTION (if applicable) 2015 - 2017 (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Project Engineer and assisted the Project Manager during the construction phase of a large scale infrastructureimprovements project that included replacement of three municipal lift stations, approximately 20,000 linear feet ofwater main replacement, three force main networks, and significant drainage improvements over the 500 acre site.Responsibilities included shop drawing reviews, attending progress meetings, change order reviews, engineeringduring construction, as-built review, and final certifications.
f.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)
Bid Pack 8 Infrastructure Improvements
Oakland Park, FL
(5) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2015 - 2018 CONSTRUCTION (if applicable) -- (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Project Engineer for the water and sewer improvements project located within the City of Oakland Park. Designincluded approximately 18,000 linear feet of water main replacement, 800 linear feet of new drainage withexfiltration trench, 2,500 linear feet of new sidewalk, rehabilitation of lift station B-1, and installation of 4 sewercombination air valves (SCAV). The system upgrades consisted of replacing two and four-inch diameter lines witheither six or eight-inch water mains. Additional fire hydrants were spaced to adequately provide fire protection forthe residential neighborhoods. In addition to these water main improvements and SCAV for force main sewertransmission, lift station improvements were a critical component for this project. Lift Station B-1 was experiencingfailure due to extended run times because of an increase in the collected wastewater flows and discharge force mainpressure. Electrical upgrades and the design of a variable frequency drive were included to handle various flowconditions. Project responsibilities included water main and hydrant layout, quantity take-offs, cost estimating, preparing technical specifications, permitting, and providing supports services during bidding.
g.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)
Lift Station No. 9 Rehabilitation
Davie, FL
(5) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2017 - 2018 CONSTRUCTION (if applicable) 2018 - Present (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Project Manager for a municipal sewer pump station rehabilitation project. The existing pumps failed when themechanical room flooded with sewage backflow from the adjacent wet well. Since the station was being operated 24hours/day by a portable diesel-powered bypass pump, it quickly became a priority issue for the Town. The projectwas unique in that the station is located within the City of Hollywood. Therefore, additional coordination wasrequired between the two municipalities for permitting and scheduling. The project scope included site visitdocumentation, pump manufacturer coordination and specifications, sewer flow analysis, hydraulic calculations, ventilation system sizing, electrical and instrumentation equipment replacement and relocation, sump pump andpiping replacement, cost estimating, permitting, preparation of contract documents for bidding, addressing bidderquestions, and recommendation for award of contract. CGA is currently providing services during construction thatinclude reviewing shop drawings, addressing RFI’s, construction inspections, and final certification.
h.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)
Bayshore Drive Drainage and Improvements
Fort Lauderdale, FL
(5) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2015 – 2017 CONSTRUCTION (if applicable) 2018 - Present (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Project Manager for the analysis and design of drainage system improvements in the Central Beach AllianceNeighborhood off of A1A. The scope included a drainage model analysis of the existing site conditions using ICPRand utilizing survey, record drawings, and LIDAR for calibration. A full drainage report summarized the differentoptions for improvements in the area including associated costs. Some of the proposed alternatives includedexfiltration trenches, drainage injection wells, and tidal check valves. Additionally, the City requested trafficimprovements and the addition of a median at the unique intersection of Bayshore Drive, Riomar Street, andAntioch Avenue. CGA conducted a traffic safety study to justify the proposed median and sidewalk layout. Theintersection design included some re-grading for drainage, pavement markings, signage, and permitting throughBroward County. CGA is currently under contract to provide standard services during construction.
i.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)
Sewer Pump Station D-41 Replacement
Fort Lauderdale, FL
(5) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2015 - 2017 CONSTRUCTION (if applicable) 2017 - Present
51
