The scope entailed relocation ofthe station and redirection of the sewer network for a future private development. Tasks included analysis ofexisting sewer flow contributions, review of existing force main pressures, hydraulic calculations for designing newforce main and submersible pumps, valve vault design, control panel, permitting, coordination with other disciplinesincluding geotechnical and electrical, preparing technical specifications, bidding assistance, addressing RFI's,reviewing shop drawings, routine inspections, as-built reviews, and final certification. Coordination played a majorrole in this project as the proposed location for the pump station and design of the new sewer main had to beplanned with the neighboring development and their design team.

Tasks includedanalyzing existing flow and pressure conditions, hydraulic calculations, selection of new pumps, new electrical andventilation design, permitting, development of bidding documents, bidding assistance, addressing RFI's, reviewingshop drawings, conducting routine inspections, as-built reviews, and final certification.

The station is located inside an HOA andrequired mechanical, aesthetic, and immediate odor control improvements. Due to its close proximity with adjacentresidences and frequent complaints, the station was relocated across the street. This prompted a landscape andirrigation redesign, as well. Tasks included design, permitting, interpreting pressure data logger readings, hydrauliccalculations, contacting pump manufacturers, existing sewer flow analysis, preparing specifications, shop drawingreviews, addressing RFI’s, construction inspections, and final certification.
