BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT <br /> <br />Humiston & Moore Engineers (H&M) was hired by the owner of the properties <br />adjacent to Gordon Pass for multiple projects including implementation of a <br />CCCL Development Agreement including renovation of a historic club, residential <br />construction and recreational amenities on the north end of Keewaydin Island; <br />design, permitting and implementation of a long-term Cove maintenance <br />dredging on Keewaydin Island; and design and implementation of a multi-phased <br />erosion control project on the gulf front on Keewaydin Island. Tasks also <br />included the design and permitting with construction observation of a basin to <br />the north. Keewaydin Island is located near the south end of the City of Naples, <br />in Collier County, Florida. The erosion control structures on the north end of <br />Keewaydin Island were designed to address downdrift inlet related erosion. <br /> <br />Additional services were implanted in the 1998 and 2010 maintenance dredging <br />of Keewaydin Cove on the bay side of Keewaydin Island which contains 33 fixed <br />boat slips. The Cove provides critical access to the island. The 2010 project <br />involved removal of approximately 3,000 cy of sand by small hydraulic dredge <br />and included an onsite disposal basin. Sand was then moved to the dune <br />system. Due to minor impacts to sparse seagrasses in the Cove, a successful <br />seagrass mitigation plan was carried out off Woodring Point east of Sanibel. <br /> <br />H&M were also the project engineers to manage and permit the Gordon Point <br />Basin Project on the north adjacent property to Gordon Pass. Scope of work <br />included seawall design, seawall replacement, installation of floating docks, <br />dredging of a new basin, and other minor activities. Reuben Clarson Consulting <br />was the structural design engineer of record for the seawall activities. H&M <br />designed the dredging and secured an upland disposal site for the sediment. This <br />project commenced in June 2014 and completed January 2015. <br /> <br />012 <br />25.
