<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH SECTION 03720 - 1 <br />WELL REHABILITATION SEQUENCE <br /> <br />SECTION 03720 <br /> <br />WELL REHABILITATION SEQUENCE <br /> <br /> <br />PART I - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />A. This section covers the sequence of work to rehabilitate twenty (20) drainage wells and <br />several outfalls for the City of Sunny Isles Beach (OWNER), located on Central Island. <br /> <br />B. The work as specified includes mobilization; removal and replacement of well grates; <br />cleaning the concrete well structure and open hole well casing; down-hole video <br />logging; well development; installation of PVC well casing and concrete grouting (at well <br />locations where the existing 24” steel casing is compromised); testing; installation of <br />inline tideflex valves and manatee grates on outfalls; demobilization and restoration of <br />well sites; and completion all required work to the extent the well facility is returned to <br />service and accepted by the OWNER. <br /> <br />C. The wells identified for rehabilitation may be altered or changed during the course of <br />the contract based upon the needs of the OWNER. <br /> <br />D. Following completion of well rehabilitation, the CONTRACTOR shall install the new well <br />grate, and appurtenances to the extent the well is ready for service by the OWNER. <br />Substantial completion will be deemed complete following restoration of operational <br />service of the subject well. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />NOT USED <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.1 CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE <br /> <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall complete the scope of work within the timeframe specified in <br />the contract. <br /> <br />B. The construction schedule shall be met based on work days (from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm <br />only) and excludes nights, weekends and Federal holidays. <br />
