professionals ; <br />1.2 .3. Provide analyses of the City's needs, surveys, site evaluations, utility locations and <br />comparative studies of solutions; <br />1.2.4. Provide a general economic analysis of the requirements applicable to various alternatives; <br />and identify any areas of the task that can be properly value-engineered to produce a savings in the <br />construction cost. <br />1.2.5. Deliverables: <br />(a) If the scope of Professional Services, as detailed in a work authorization, includes design <br />services: Prepare conceptual design criteria with appropriate sketches or exhibits , and identify in a clear <br />manner the considerations involved and the alternative solutions available, as well as Consultant's <br />recommendations (the •pre-Design Analysis"). The Pre-Design Analysis shall be accompanied by Consultant's <br />estimate of total construction costs for the project (the "Estimated Construction Cosr), in accordance with <br />Section 5 of this Agreement. <br />(b) If the scope of Professional Services, as detailed in a work authorization, includes a Study or <br />Report: Prepare a report which shall identify in a clear manner the issues and considerations involved; <br />Consultant's findings; the alternative solutions available, as well as Consultant's recommendations; and <br />including appropriate exhibits (the "Study Report"). <br />1.2.6. If requested by the City, Consultant shall attend Board meeting(s) and may be asked to <br />prepare and make presentation of the Study Report or Pre-Design Analysis. Consultant will not be <br />compensated for attendance at Board meetings unless explicitly requested in writing by City to attend. <br />1.3 Preliminary Design Phase <br />If the scope of Professional Services, as detailed in a work authorization, include Preliminary Design: <br />Consultant shall: <br />1.3.1 . Prepare a preliminary design package including the following: <br />a. design criteria and sketches or exhibits, including elevations, sections, site <br />plan and additional renderings, showing the scale and relationship of project <br />components . <br />b. written description of the project. <br />c . preliminary design drawings (20-30%). <br />d. outline of technical specifications. <br />e . Estimated Construction Cost. <br />(the "Preliminary Design Packagen). <br />1.3.2 Revise any aspect of the documents in the Preliminary Design Package as requested in <br />writing by the City to enable the City to issue written acceptance and approval of the Preliminary Design <br />Package. <br />1.3.3. Advise the City if additional services of other consultants or service providers are necessary. <br />1.3.4. Deliverables: Consultant shall provide to City: <br />(a) One original signed and sealed Preliminary Design Package, together with an editable <br />electronic copy (AutoCADD/Microsoft Word) for review and comment by the City. <br />(b) Proposed Estimated Construction Cost of the project for review by the City. <br />1.3.5.
