Mead & Hunt adds an additional 600 employees to the resource pool available for this project. They offer specific <br />expertise in the city-wide relocation of overhead utilities to underground conduit systems as well as additional service <br />specialties which may come into play. Terracon, which will be performing geotechnical services, has a staff of over 3,500 <br />employees in their national and international offices. While all the 3,500 staff members will not be involved in this <br />project, it shows the depth of experience available at their disposal. Our other Team members include Patterson & <br />Dewar Engineers for electrical design; Keith and Associates, Inc. for subsurface utility engineering and landscape <br />architecture. <br />In short, the Erdman Anthony/Mead & Hunt Team has the horsepower necessary to complete this contract in its <br />entirety. <br />Not only do we possess sufficient staff to get the job done, they are interconnected electronically in a way that makes it <br />appear as if they were sitting in one room. All offices in our firm are technologically connected to one another via a <br />computer network, video conferencing equipment, and email systems. As a result of this technology, Erdman Anthony <br />can also tap additional resources from other offices to provide technical design, internal reviews or consultation as <br />needed to meet tight project schedules. <br />Having resources available to meet all project objectives is critical to the success of any project. This means that <br />qualified personnel must be available in sufficient depth to address all disciplines, supported by equipment that meets <br />or exceeds industry standards for speed and accuracy. Also essential is a Project Manager with a strong understanding of <br />applicable codes and procedures, an equally strong understanding of our project Team’s capabilities, and an ability to <br />function within a process-and results-oriented quality program. Our Team offers a large contingent of personnel in all <br />required disciplines supported by the latest equipment to ensure that the objectives of the City can be expeditiously met <br />throughout this contract. <br />Understanding this, Erdman Anthony has committed a project management, design and sub-consultant Team to this <br />assignment that offers a combination of proven leadership and the technological knowledge needed to make effective <br />recommendations. Our Team’s organization includes project engineers for each of the major disciplines required by this <br />assignment, providing a clear delineation of communication and accountability. With this leadership, you can be assured <br />that our Team, not only has sufficient resources available to meet the needs of this contract, but that these resources <br />will be effectively used to meet the objectives of the City. <br />When our customer commits to their organization to deliver a project on time, they need a team that can back them up <br />with reliable delivery of what they have promised. For this reason, schedule performance is like the most important <br />criterion, even above cost, for most of our clients. Thus, we pay <br />particular attention to timely completion of assigned tasks. <br />One of the tools for effective schedule management is the establishment <br />of technical milestones, and the communication of these milestones to <br />all project staff so that they understand the importance of their <br />individual role in meeting the overall project schedule. We do this <br />through the routine conduct of a project kick-off meeting at the initiation <br />of every assigned task; a clear, concise work plan; and routine <br />monitoring of progress to ensure that all contributing elements are on <br />track and in line with expenditures. <br /> <br />Erdman Anthony is comprised of professionals that place emphasis on <br />client satisfaction and a successful quality management system. Our philosophy is to gain client satisfaction by exercising <br />good communication skills, being responsive to their needs, and delivering a final product that is on schedule, within <br />budget, and positively exceeds their expectations. Our management and technical staff pride themselves on their ability <br />to meet client dictated performance schedules. This is accomplished through a combined focus on management planning <br />and by providing adequate qualified staff. Our relationship with our clients is extremely important to us. <br /> <br />Prior to beginning the project, <br />we will develop a complete <br />understanding of the scope, <br />schedule, and budget <br />parameters. We will evaluate our <br />staff resources and mobilize <br />staff as necessary to insure we <br />complete the project on <br />schedule.
