Work also included preparation of a report and application necessary for
NYS Department of Health approval of the water improvement plans and specifications.
• Roadway layout and design, including alignment and profile, signing and pavement
markings. Ontario Avenue’s concrete pavement was rubblized and used as a subbase for a
10-inch thick multi-course hot-mix asphalt overlay. The pavement widening (to the north
and south) consisted of a minimum 10-inch thick multi-course hot-mix asphalt overlay on a
12-inch thick granular subbase.
• Grading and Drainage Design for a primarily open ditch and drainage culvert system.
• Preparation of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Notice-of-Intent (NOI)
for compliance with the SPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Construction
Activity.
