North Ocean Boulevard (29th Avenue to 34th Avenue)
North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Mead & Hunt is providing survey, engineering design and construction services for the conversion of
overhead electric and communication lines to an underground conduit system along North Ocean
Boulevard from 29th Avenue North to 34th Avenue North. The project will also relocate and upgrade the
existing water services within the project area. Once completed, our design will install new conduit and
associated structures, equipment pads, pedestals and new decorative street lighting along the project
corridor.

We are placing the main conduit trench within the center turn lane to reduce traffic control
requirements and disruption to drivers. This project connects to the previously completed utility
conversion project from Sea Mountain Highway to 29th Avenue North.

Since North Ocean Boulevard is a South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT)-maintained
roadway and due to the proximity of the project in relation to the signalized intersection at North Ocean
Boulevard and Sea Mountain Highway, this installation will require close coordination with SCDOT and
the City concerning the specification of the pavement restoration, traffic control and construction
operations.

Mead & Hunt is also responsible for preparing regulatory and SCDOT permits, preparing contract
documents, providing easement acquisition assistance, providing bidding assistance and providing
construction administration services.

North Ocean Boulevard (Sea Mountain Highway to 29th Avenue)
North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Mead & Hunt provided survey, engineering design and construction services required for the conversion
of overhead electric and communication lines to an underground conduit system along North Ocean
Boulevard from Sea Mountain Highway to 29th Avenue North.
