<br />Rainier Gonzalez, EIMr. Gonzalez has over three (3) years of civil engineering experience in stormwater, roadway, water, and wastewater projects in the South Florida area, complimented by a year of experience in construction. Mr. Gonzalez also has two years of internship experience in civil design, and earned his Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification in August of 2015. Mr. Gonzalez has spear-headed CGA’s utility coordination process by creating and managing the utility matrix, assisting in project conflict table creation and design solutions, permitting assistance and construction administration and bidding assistance such as bid evaluations, responses to RFI’s, plan submittal reviews, and pay requisitions. Mr. Gonzalez is also a qualified Stormwater Management Inspector. Mr. Gonzalez has led the utility coordination for numerous recent roadway projects as well as stormwater and water/sewer upgrade projects.
<br />LIGHTING
<br />Robert Roush, PEMr. Roush has been providing electrical engineering services for 49 years. His experience includes project management, marketing, quality control, and design and quality assurance of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, communication, and transportation facilities. The broad range of projects he has designed provides a knowledge and understanding of codes and regulations essential to the successful development of projects.
<br />In the capacity of Director of Electrical Engineering at CGA, his main role is the support for Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Transportation, and Construction departments. Mr. Roush has extensive experience with neighborhood and roadway lighting upgrade projects as well as coordinating with FPL. He develops the electrical engineering budget, and reports the division progress, milestones, workloads, project costs, and schedule status. Mr. Roush is responsible for quality assurance during the design phase and quality control at periodic reviews. During construction he performs periodic observation, final inspection including generator testing, and certification of electrical systems.
<br />Jorge Cervantes, PEMr. Cervantes has 29 years of experience in designing lighting, power, mechanical and plumbing system for parks, manufacturing, commercial, residential and educational buildings, engineering project fee estimates, lighting consultant expert witness. His experience includes lighting verification and/or recertification of recreational parks, parking structures and outdoor parking areas. Through his electrical design experiences, he has coordinated with FPL and other franchise utility owners.
<br />LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE/IRRIGATION
<br />Tammy Cook-Weedon, ASLA, RLA, LEED-AP BD+CMrs. Cook-Weedon is a Florida Registered Landscape Architect with over 30 years of experience. She has valuable experience for a wide variety of project types, including neighborhood improvement projects, community branding, recreational projects, streetscapes, parks, and general landscape architectural components. As the founding Landscape Architect for CGA, Mrs. Cook-Weedon's professional work is supportive of the firm’s mission to develop excellent sustainable solutions to enhance the environment and surrounding communities. Her leadership has been exemplified in demonstrating and promoting innovative site development strategies that foster the promotion of landscape ecology, water conservation, and landscapes that promote natural processes and habitat restoration.
<br />Mrs. Cook-Weedon experience includes working on the SW 5th Avenue in Delray Beach, FL, which involved the design of a new public parking lot between SW 5th AVenue and SW 4th Avenue. The parking lots are enhanced by native trees and shrubs and carpeted by pervious pavers. The 24 space lot is a green design, consisting of pervious pavers, decorative lighting and low-volume irrigation.
<br />Michael Conner, ASLA, RLAMr. Conner has more than 30 years of combined experience in municipal, commercial, and private sector work. As a Registered Landscape Architect and a Certified Arborist, he is also knowledgeable in all aspects of urban and community forestry planning, tree inventory, and appraisal – particularly in built-out environments in the South Florida area. His expertise lies in site planning, hardscape and landscape design. He also has successful experience in public space creation and planning, environmental mitigation, contract administration, site inspections, and grant writing.
