51CES Consultants ● City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 18-11-01 <br />STANDARD FORM 330 (REV 8/2016)  PAGE F -1 <br />Project Overview <br />The City of North Miami retained CES Consultants, Inc. to prepare a <br />hydraulic model, and provide design, permitting, and construction <br />services for 10,500 feet of 10/12-inch replacement force main in NW 12th <br />Avenue extending from NW 95th Street to NW 125th Street. The new <br />pipeline will connect to the WASD 48-inch force main leading to the North <br />District WWTP. <br />The project, located in Miami-Dade County and within the City, replaces <br />aging asbestos-cement and cast-iron force mains with corrosion resistant <br />PVC pipe. Twenty-one private pump station force main connections, and <br />two City pump station connections, require relocation and re-connection <br />to the new force main as well as planning for uninterrupted service during <br />construction. <br />Scope of Work <br />The design prepared by CES consisted of a single force main with <br />capacity to handle the flows from the two existing force mains, plus a <br />reserve capacity for future development. The design incorporated <br />plan and profile sheets, soft digs to identify existing utilities with <br />conflicting as-built data, specifications, and permits.
