77CES Consultants ● City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 18-11-01 <br />1. Project Title: WASD PS 336 Upgrades <br />2. Project Location: Miami Lakes, Florida <br />3. Project Description: Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) is in charge of operating and maintaining over 1,100 <br />pump stations in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The Pump Station Improvement Program was created by WASD to deal with the <br />requirements of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for those pump stations with a consent decree, enforced to comply <br />with environmental laws and regulations. CES serves as design a consultant and engineer of record for a number of those upgrades <br />and improvements required to conform the pump stations to the Local, State and Federal regulations. <br />Currently Pump Station 0336 is in a collection basin for an industrial area and a Miami-Dade school with a future capacity of 0.46 <br />million of gallons per day (MGD) pumping capacity or 300 gallons per minute (GPM). The project consists on converting a 6-foot <br />wet well/dry well pump station to an 8-foot wet well submersible pump station with two 20 HP pumps that increase pumping <br />capacity in order to conform with WASD and EPA regulations. In addition, the pump station will include new 6-inch ductile iron <br />piping and fittings, electrical equipment, backflow preventer, chain-link fence and a 60 kilowatts (KW) emergency stand-by <br />generator. The pump station will discharge through a 6-inch force main to Regional Pump Station PS-0414 which direct flows to <br />North Dade Waste Water Treatment Plant (NDWWTP). <br />4.
