City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 18-11-01 | Consulting Engineering Services for Golden ShoresPump Station Rehabilitation (CCNA)
LOCAL PERMITTING EXPERIENCECGA has extensive experience and knowledge in all applicable federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations. In our capacity for providing engineering services to many local agencies in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, our experience and familiarity with regulatory agencies plays a major role during the project approach, design, and permitting phases to allow for a more well-coordinated and smoother permitting process. CGA has been responsible for ensuring that all codes are met and addressed prior to permit submittal, which leads to a reduction of agency comments and limits any project schedule interruption. We have been a part of countless projects and continuous communication efforts with regulatory agencies for all aspects of design. Our familiarity with permitting related to infrastructure projects, specifically in Miami-Dade County, can be demonstrated by listing the applicable regulatory agencies and pertinent codes/criteria which are anticipated to be encountered during the permitting phase of services.
• City of Sunny Isles Beach Building Department - Dry Run during design
• South Florida Water Management District – Dewatering Permit and Environmental Resource Permits
• Army Corps of Engineers – Environmental Resource Permit (not anticipated unless work in the intracoastal is needed)
• Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (not anticipated unless the City wants to replace the tideflex at the outfall pipe.)
• Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM)
• Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Underground Injection Control Well Permit
PERFORMANCE RECORDS/EFFECTIVE EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AND TRAININGCGA has an exemplary record of performance with each of its contracts. Company-wide, CGA has never had a contract terminated or canceled for cause.
The key to effective performance is assigning the right person for the job. The CGA Team represents a highly qualified and experienced professional staff with almost every required discipline in one location. In order to maximize employee utilization and therefore performance, CGA utilizes an accounting software, Ajera, to track not only project budgets, but also employee workloads.
In an effort to maintain the highest standards, our team receives continuing education to stay on top of the latest industry standards and processes. Through formal training, seminars and in-house technical sharing sessions our staff is kept abreast of ever-changing methods and technology.
18
