GOLDEN SHORES PUMP STATION REHABILITATION (CCNA) RFQ 18-11-01 17 The following agencies have jurisdiction over the construction of the proposed stormwater pump station: • City of Sunny Isles Beach• Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER). • South Florida Water Management District. • Florida Department of Environmental Protection.• U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Our Team will assist the City in filling documents required to obtain all necessary approvals of Permitting Authorities having jurisdiction over the Project. To expedite the procurement of permits required for this project, which may have a significant impact in the critical path, we have prepared a permit matrix that includes all required permits and the corresponding jurisdictional agencies. Procurement Phase During the Procurement process, APCTE will assist the City in preparing the Bid Documents for the advertisement. Then reviewing the Bids and making recommendations to the City to select a contractor for the Pump Station Rehabilitation. Contractor’s Qualification, Historical Records, Similar Experience, Insurance, Bonding Capacity, etc will be carefully verified. Finally, the selection recommendation will be based on the lowest qualified bidder. Construction Administration During Construction, Our Team will provide Construction Administration and Inspection Services. The City will have our support to perform full construction management services for this project. Typical engineering services during construction to be provided under this contract include but are not limited to: • Site Inspections• Documenting Project Activities with Photos and Daily Reports• Hosting Progress Meetings• Review of Shop Drawings • Respond to Requests for Information• Review Claims and Potential Change Orders• Review of Schedule of Values and Contractor Invoicing• Review Project Schedule• Review As-Builts• Review Contractor Quality Control Testing The APCTE Team perfectly knows the construction management and related services needed. We are currently involved in several major programs performing the role of agency secondary staff and full construction management services. Furthermore, we have also provided engineering services during construction while serving as the Engineer of Record. The APCTE Team will work with the City of Sunny Isles Beach to schedule the preconstruction meeting shortly after the project is awarded to the contractor. We will provide the contractor with the standard templates for all submittals (invoices, shop drawings, transmittals, schedules, 3-week look ahead, change orders, progress reports, among others); provide the contractor with the program construction protocols and procedures; define the project’s chain of command; review contract documents/specifications and plans Request For Information (RFI): RFI’s are originated during the construction process when discrepancies arise between the construction documents and design drawings with the actual field conditions. Our team is committed to review and respond to any Request for Information in a timely matter. Through our significant expertise gathered in similar projects, we will provide the City with the right response to the contractors concerns effectively.
