Mr. Espino is responsible for the inventory and inspection of the existing signal cabinets, <br />controllers, conduits and pull boxes to determine the need for equipment upgrade as part of the project. He is also responsible for the travel <br />time data collection using Wifi devices as part of the before and after evaluation phase of the pilot project. Mr. Espino has performed <br />extensive coordination with the Miami-Dade County Traffic Control Center to ensure a smooth transition from existing signal operation to <br />operation under ASCT. <br />d. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) SR 5/US 1 from SW 19500 Block to I-95 Signal Re-timing and <br />Monitoring, FDOT, District Six <br />(2) YEAR COMPLETED <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2016 CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) N/A <br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm <br />This project is part of the Districtwide Signal Retiming Contract with the D6 Traffic Operations Office. The tasks included daily monitoring of <br />traffic conditions from using CCTV cameras at the D6 Sunguide Transportation Management Center. Monitoring was with the objective of the <br />monitoring was to identify operational deficiencies and areas of recurrent congestion and to develop and implement signal timing changes to <br />improve these conditions. The monitoring also included using Regional Integrated Transportation Information System (RITIS) data to monitor <br />operational performance before and after the implementation of the signal timing changes. <br />e. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) Districtwide Traffic Operations and Safety Studies Contract (2) YEAR COMPLETED <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2013 CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) N/A <br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm <br />A task work order driven contract which included the investigation of fatal crashes and high crash locations district-wide. As part of this <br />contract Mr. Espino completed over 850 fatal crash reviews to determine roadway contributory causes. Mr. Espino also performed safety <br />studies districtwide and developed safety improvement projects at over fifty intersections and segments. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
