<br />The scope of services for this study included extensive pedestrian counts and documentation of existing conditions including land uses, transit
<br />ridership and pedestrian and bicycle crash data. The 3-mile study segment was divided into homogeneous sections based on land use and
<br />pedestrian activity for analysis. The study also included plotting pedestrian and bicycle crashes to identify crash clusters and assessing the
<br />need for mid-block pedestrian crossings using the guidelines contained in the Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM). The study recommendations
<br />included overhead Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at several locations.

<br />As DPM, Ms. Diaz was responsible for reviewing all types of study tasks outlined in the Scope of Services for this contract, e.g., Qualitative
<br />Assessment, Signal Warrant Analysis, Intersection Analysis, Left Turn Phase Warrant Analysis, and Speed Zone Studies. Through this contract,
<br />Ms. Diaz performed skid hazard location investigations consistent with the objective of the Highway Safety Improvement Program. Ms. Diaz
<br />investigated and reported possible slippery pavement sections in Miami Dade and Monroe Counties. Ms. Diaz was responsible for reviewing
<br />the data stored in the FDOT Skid Hazard Reporting System, identifying highway sections with a friction number in questionable or review
<br />categories, and updating the System documenting all activities, e.g., review of crash summaries, geometrics, surface condition, posted speed,
<br />recent projects, etc., related to the highway sections investigated

<br />all activities related to the production of design plans at the 90% and 100% phase levels in conformance with FDOT Standards
